GUEST GIG: The rumors swirling around Croatian-born, Paris-based ready-to-wear designer Damir Doma are confirmed: he will be the women’s wear guest designer at the next edition of Pitti W, while Japanese brand Kolor — created by designer Junichi Abe — will be the men’s wear guest at Pitti Uomo. Both fairs will take place in Florence from June 18 to 21.
“Kolor and Damir Doma represent two very different stories and cultures,” said Lapo Cianchi, Pitti Immagine’s director of communication and events. “But in our opinion, they share the same determination for developing their brands and building a strong business experience based on a very precise, personal and creative inspiration that does not follow mainstream fashion trends.”
Events for Kolor and Damir Doma are slated for June 19 and 20, but exact dates and times were not available.
