GREEN SCENE: Green is the new black for Bottega Veneta, which just received “Carbon Neutral 2010” certification for its Milan headquarters and a thumbs up from Bureau Veritas, an independent risk analysis organization.
The Italian brand’s detailed study of its greenhouse gas emissions revealed an unsurprising spike during fashion weeks and sales campaigns, which it is dedicated to off-setting through carbon credits.
Marco Bizzarri, president and chief executive officer of Bottega Veneta, stated the certification marks an “important achievement for the brand” and the “basis for actions of continuous improvement in reducing the impact of our operations.”
