Goat to Open First Store in London

The London cashmere and rtw label founded and designed by Jane Lewis plans to open its first store in the autumn in London.

PASTURES NEW: Goat, the London cashmere and rtw label founded and designed by Jane Lewis, plans to open its first store in the autumn in Mayfair, near Regent Street. The shop will open at No. 4 Conduit Street as part of The Crown Estate’s 1 billion pounds, or $1.71 billion, real estate regeneration project. The shop, which will open in the second half of September and span 660 square feet, will feature timber parquet floors and white walls, minimal lighting, and vintage furniture hand-picked by Lewis.

Last year, Lewis took on minority investors Amery Capital, and at the time, she told WWD that one of her goals was to open a standalone store in London’s Mayfair.

The label, with its streamlined and slightly retro silhouettes, has long had a robust celebrity following, with clients including Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham, Nicole Kidman, Cameron Diaz, Keira Knightley, and the Duchess of Cambridge. Wholesale clients include Matchesfashion.com and Fenwick’s in London, and Louis Boston in the U.S.
