GIVING BACK: The sunny, balmy weather continued in Los Angeles, but that didn’t mean that some in Hollywood weren’t thinking of others in need, or that Christmas was too far away. The year-old curated gift-giving site Wantful partnered with Rashida Jones and her New Roots organization, part of the International Rescue Committee, on Monday night for a dinner at hot spot Eveleigh.
“We’re about helping people find the perfect presents and ultimately about shopping and changing the gift card experience, but I also love what Rashida stands for and her message about helping others,” said Wantful’s chief executive officer John Poisson. “New Roots helps people who have been resettled start new lives by planting roots in America, literally,” said Jones of the program, which helps refugees become self-sufficient through community gardening and small business farming.
Among those enjoying Eveleigh’s organically grown slow food fare were Amy Adams, Amy Poehler, Ali Larter and husband Hayes MacArthur, Kristen Bell, Emma Roberts, Francesca Eastwood, Brooklyn Decker, Eric Stonestreet, Will McCormack and Brad Goreski.
