LACE RACE: The house of Givenchy was the winning bidder for the black Givenchy haute couture chantilly lace cocktail dress and jacket that was among 36 Audrey Hepburn wardrobe items sold off at a London auction earlier in the week, held by Kerry Taylor Auctions and Sotheby’s.

The house parted ways with 60,000 pounds, or $97,542, for the suit, worn by Hepburn in “How to Steal a Million” in 1966.

Earnestly focused on restoring its archives, in 2006 Givenchy bought back the iconic little black dress worn by the legendary actress in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”
