POP UP ART: Photographer Christopher Makos is helping Sephora channel Andy Warhol. A limited edition print with images of Warhol, Halston and Debbie Harry is now being sold via the Gilt City site, and select Sephora Beauty Insiders were the first to get the chance to buy signed $3,211 black and white shot. Selling this type of art online is a first, according to Gilt City's Crystal Fraser.
Warhol’s Pop Art-infused palette is alive and well, thanks to François Nars and a multichannel color cosmetics effort that marks his brand’s — and the Warhol Foundation’s — largest collaboration to date. Shoppers at Gilt.com can now buy it and Sephora customers will be able to in two weeks. Selling this type of art online is a first for Gilt City, according to director of national sales Crystal Fraser.
