GET SHORTY: Georgina Chapman, film director? It's hardly a secret the Marchesa designer has ties to the movie world (Harvey Weinstein is her husband, after all), but thanks to a new partnership with Canon’s Project Imagination, she will now be giving directing a try. As part of the initiative's next installment, Chapman is working on a short film inspired by consumer photos submitted to Canon, and will make her directorial debut with the help of mentor Ron Howard. The contest kicks off Tuesday, with more information available at www.imagination.usa.canon.com.
