Gant Shutters Women's Michael Bastian Line

“It’s going on hiatus,” said the designer, leaving the door open for a revival of the women’s business.

GANT SHUTTERS WOMEN’S BASTIAN LINE: Gant is discontinuing the women’s component of the Gant by Michael Bastian collection, with final deliveries going to stores this spring and summer. “It’s going on hiatus,” said Bastian, leaving the door open for a revival of the women’s business. “Gant is really a men’s brand so we’re focusing on that.” Men’s comprises more than 90 percent of total Gant sales in the U.S. and 70 percent globally. Gant and Bastian launched their women’s designer collaboration in 2011 as a complement to the men’s Gant by Michael Bastian line, founded in 2010.
