WILD AT HEART: Bernard Arnault has Christmas all wrapped up – at least at the department store behemoths on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris.

Galeries Lafayette has tapped Louis Vuitton to create its holiday windows on the theme “The Ball of the Century.” To be unveiled on Nov. 6, the 12 boulevard windows will depict a menagerie of exotic animals flocking around leather goods and ready-to-wear, along with vintage luggage to chart Vuitton’s 158 years of history.

The golden, geometric backdrops for the showcase were inspired by Galeries’ iconic glass dome, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

As reported, Christian Dior, another iconic French brand controlled by Arnault, will take over the holiday windows at neighboring department store Printemps as part of a wide-ranging partnership.
