GALA TIME: The Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s second annual Art + Film Gala will take place Oct. 27, when notables from the art, film, fashion and entertainment industries will honor artist Ed Ruscha and filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, with director Steven Spielberg paying tribute to the late filmmaker. In October, both Kubrick and Ruscha will have dedicated exhibitions on view at the museum. For the second year, the gala is cochaired by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio, with Gucci the presenting sponsor and its creative director, Frida Giannini, taking on the new role of gala host committee chair. Last year’s gala raised $3 million for the museum’s film programs. Tables are $50,000 and $100,000 and individual tickets are $5,000 and $10,000.
