ONLY FOR MARC: So how many inches would fall on Manhattan Thursday night? Six, or eight? Or Twelve? It would have been nice to know not for the obvious reason that it would expedite commute plans, but for the more vital question of, would the snow make it hard to get to Marc? Equally important: Would it affect the celebrity front row? In the end, it didn’t matter. "Happy days are here again," reminded the mantra recited by Jessica Lange that played during Marc Jacobs' show. The friends of the house who always come came, the weather be damned — Sofia Coppola, Rachel Feinstein and John Currin. And so did those faces that are now so familiar from too many appearances this fashion week — Joe Jonas, Sarah Paulson, Alexa Chung.

"Should I come in snow boots and put heels in a plastic bag? But then what do I do with the plastic bag? Uber then, of course, saved our life in this kind of weather." For fall, Jacobs transformed the venue into a dreamlike cloud setting, as if the show were taking place up in the air. "John says it reminds him of my first apartment when I was 21. I made clouds hanging down just like this," Feinstein said. "It was on West Broadway and Prince back when you could get an apartment on West Broadway and Prince after graduating from college."
