Harvey Weinstein joined a motley front row at the John Galliano show Wednesday night that included Vincent Perez, Milla Jovovich and French rapper Doc Gynéco. “I’m here as goodwill ambassador; Georgina [Chapman] is great friends with John,” Weinstein said about his wife, before disclosing the real reason he’s in town: to view the rough cut of “The Concert,” starring French actress Mélanie Laurent, likely to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. Gynéco, meanwhile, said he’s about to appear on a different kind of stage. “I am about to start doing theater,” he said, referring to the play “Le siècle sera féminin ou ne sera pas” (“This Century Will or Won’t Be Feminine”), which opens next week in Paris. However, music is still very much on the agenda “I’m working on finishing my new album called ‘Peacemaker,’” he said.
