SINGING IN THE RAIN: A nonstop downpour in Dallas didn’t stop revelers from celebrating the opening of TenOverSix at the Joule hotel with a party and performances by Wild Child, an indie folk rock band from Austin, and Doom & Gloom, a husband-and-wife duo from Fresno, Calif. “They were supposed to play on the roof, but we had to do it in the lobby,” explained Kristen Lee, co-owner of the fashion boutique with husband Joe Cole and pal Brady Cunningham. The fete attracted a cross section of Dallas fashion fans plus familial supporters including Cunningham’s husband, Jason Schwartzman, and their two-year-old daughter, Marlowe; his mom, Talia Shire, who danced to Wild Child’s upbeat tunes; and his brother, Robert, who served as DJ. Fellow Joule tenants Michael and Sarah Moldovan, owners of Traffic. L.A. women’s and men’s stores, also flew in, while the Dallas contingent included philanthropic biotech scientist Lynn McBee and Shelle Sills, former general manager of Neiman Marcus downtown and now a consultant to Joule owner Tim Headington.
