French Shoe-Shopping Habits Analyzed

Brandalley and CCM Benchmark Group teamed up for the study.

SHOE FETISH: French women purchase on average eight pairs of shoes annually, according to a recent study by online retailer Brandalley and CCM Benchmark Group. Pumps and heels are the most popular styles.

Additionally, 63 percent of the women surveyed said they had purchased shoes online. Of them, 49 percent choose to shop online because they claim prices are lower there and the selections are larger than in brick-and-mortar stores.

Of the 1,936 women in France surveyed, 43 percent admitted to giving in to compulsive buying more easily online than in-store.
