French Dressing: Phillip Lim is Paris-bound for his Fall 2011 men’s show. The New York-based designer will join compatriots such as Thom Browne, Rick Owens, Adam Kimmel and Yigal Azrouël on the men’s calendar there.

“We wanted the men’s wear to be shown in line with other men’s collections. Showing in New York [in February] meant we were selling the collection before it was presented officially to press and buyers, so the main reason was to realign with the calendar,” said Lim of the switch. The collection will be shown in a presentation format on Jan. 22 at the Hôtel de la Monnaie, or Museum of Coins.

Tom’s Town: Neiman Marcus has been increasing the number of units that carry Tom Ford’s men’s clothing, introducing it this week to its high-volume unit at NorthPark Center in Dallas. “We launched in four stores in spring 2008 and now carry the full collection in 11 stores,” said Russ Patrick, senior vice president and general merchandise manager.

Tom Ford boutiques are now in Neiman’s stores in Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Francisco and Las Vegas. All 41 units carry Ford’s ties. Neiman’s and its sister store, Bergdorf Goodman, are the brand’s only U.S. wholesale accounts.

Joining The Ride: Coach has named Ruth Harrison general manager, Coach Stores Ltd., the company’s 50-50 joint venture with British men’s wear label Hackett that will roll out the accessories brand in the U.K. and continental Europe. Harrison, a former beauty industry executive who joins this month, will be based in London and report directly to Ian Bickley, president, Coach International.

Harrison has been charged with raising brand awareness and developing plans for a multichannel business in the U.K., Spain, Portugal and Ireland that will include flagships, retail stores and shop-in-shops. Coach plans to open stores in Europe starting this spring with a 3,000-square-foot shop at the Westfield White City mall in west London. Over the summer, Coach will unveil a 5,100-square-foot flagship — its first in Europe — on New Bond Street in London. Those stores, which will stock men’s and women’s collections, will be the first of 10 to 15 Coach locations in the U.K. within the next three years.
