BROOKLYN-BOUND: “Girls” actor Christopher Abbott has a side gig in Free People’s first online miniseries. In “Roshambo,” he is a touring band member who unexpectedly reunites with Sheila Márquez (a model in real life) for one adventuresome afternoon. Free People fans can check out the short via Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter. Instead of focusing on the product, as has been the case with previous shorts, this one has a plot and story line. Free People’s director of marketing and e-commerce Jed Paulson said, “We’re really a social company so we’re really excited about how this will be shared.”
Roshamba fans will be able to find all the clothing and accessories in Free People’s 77 stores. About 10 more store openings are planned for 2013, Paulson said.
