Gucci Taps James Franco

He will appear in the advertising campaign, dubbed “All the World’s a Stage,” for the brand's new Made-to-Measure service.

FRANCO’S TURN: Gucci has tapped James Franco to appear in the advertising campaign, dubbed “All the World’s a Stage,” for its new Made-to-Measure service. The black-and-white images, which were shot by French photographer Nathaniel Goldberg in Rome, feature the American actor on a movie set wearing a sartorial pin-striped suit, among others.

“James has an innate ability to fuse classic elegance with contemporary style and interpret formalwear in an individual way, true to the spirit of our Made-to-Measure service,” said Gucci creative director Frida Giannini. The advertising campaign will appear starting in November issues of fashion titles in conjunction with the launch of the Made-to-Measure service, which will be available in 11 Gucci boutiques by yearend. Customers will be able to customize their suits and the service will be also available for shirts and shoes.
