FOUR-MINUTE FASHION FIX: A new Los Angeles-based production company is striving to showcase fashion designers, fine artists, winemakers and other creative types via short films exclusively for the digital and mobile space. CDSavoia, brainchild of Andreas George Hronopoulos, was launched eight months ago with the aim of showing how artists work behind the scenes via content on its You Tube channel and iPhone app. What originally started with fine artists and winemakers quickly grew to include fashion, design and music. Focusing on smaller designers with cult followings, CDSavoia has profiled Tucker’s Gaby Basora, Emilie Odeile, Beatrice Valenzuela, Berliner and Ashton Hirota, among others. Beginning Aug. 5, it will launch weekly new shorts by Los Angeles-based designers Brittany Belz, Cerre’s Flavie and Clayton Webster, Outlaws of the Border’s Lindsay Jones, KKIBO’s Jo Abellara, Nomadic’s Daniel Patrick and Ugo Mozie. “We don’t pay designers to participate or vice versa. These are just people whose creative processes we find interesting,” said Hronopoulos. New York designers Sachin & Babi, Coco & Breezy, Laquan Smith, Katerina Gray, Mona Kowalska, Gemma Kahng, Adeleke Sijuwade and Kevin Charles Stewart will go live timed with New York Fashion Week.
