FLYING SAUCERS AND SAUCY CLOTHES: For the second event of Jennifer Zuccarini’s three-night party series to launch her lingerie and ready-to-wear collection Fleur du Mal, she flew in Mathias Spieler Bugge and Tor Jørgen Kramprud Arnesen of the Flying Culinary Circus, a Norwegian foursome of private chefs who have cooked for Rihanna and the Norwegian Royal Family. They prepared a five-course dinner at the downtown apartment of Sharon Chang for guests including Ingrid Sischy, Sandy Brant, Jamie Pallot, Perrey Reeves, Annelise Peterson and Edward Menicheschi, publisher of Vanity Fair and Zuccarini’s fiancé, with each course meant to stimulate a different sense.
It was dinner as entertainment, as the chefs took turns introducing each course, joking that since only two of them were available — the soup and salad specialists — those would be on the only thing on the menus. “It’s New York — nobody eats anyway,” said Menicheschi, proved wrong when everyone cleaned their plates, from the smoked salmon to the soup with smoking truffles to the flaming crème brûlée, which the chefs managed to make appealing even though the oven broke.
