FLORENCE AND GUCCI: Florence Welch has a busy schedule this fall, but at least her wardrobe is taken care of. Gucci creative director Frida Giannini will dress the redheaded singer in a series of fall outfits from the Italian fashion house for Florence + the Machine’s “Ceremonials” U.S. and European tour, which kicks off Sept. 14. This is the second time the designer has dressed Welch for a concert tour.
“I was immediately drawn to the drama of the collection when I first saw it on the runway,” said Welch. “I am so grateful to Frida and feel very fortunate to be collaborating with Gucci again.”
“Seeing Florence evolve as an artist since her last tour has been truly inspiring, and I was delighted to work with her on this new wardrobe,” said Giannini. “For her on-stage style, we wanted to create a romantic yet modern aesthetic for Florence to interpret with her dark glamour and dramatic sensuality.”
The “Ceremonials” tour hits cities all across the U.S. and Europe, from Boston to Albuquerque and Milan to Dublin, where the final show takes place on Dec. 12.
