HACKATHON FINALS: Five finalists were selected from 550 competing developers at the Decoded Fashion Hackathon last weekend and will present their projects during the Decoded Fashion Forum & Hackathon Finale on Feb. 14. The finalists were charged with creating an app based on the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s mission of supporting the overall growth of American fashion as a global industry.

The five finalists, who worked in groups, are known as 42, Avant-Garde, Coveted, Fashion Dashboard, and SWATCHit.  The event, presented by Conde Nast, will be held at The Stage in the Tents at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and will be judged by CFDA chief executive officer Steven Kolb; Uri Minkoff, ceo of Rebecca Minkoff; Susan Lyne, chairman of Gilt Groupe; Dirk Standen, editor in chief of and designer Zac Posen. The pitches will take place alongside keynote speakers, panelists and startup showcases. The panels will include Vogue’s Meredith Melling Burke interviewing Foursquare founder Dennis Crowley and Wired editor-in-chief Scott Dadich interviewing Posen. Tickets to the event, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., can be purchased at
