LOVE OF THE GAME: Some say football, others say soccer. Regardless, a group of international designers is determined to make the next edition of the FIFA World Cup, which will be held this summer in Brazil, a tad more stylish by partnering with Yoox.com and sporty fashion magazine Sepp to create 10 special unisex sweatshirts.

Representing all the world continents, participating brands include Duro Olowu of Nigeria for Africa; Juun.J of Korea and Masha Ma of China for Asia; Agatha Ruiz de la Prada of Spain, Ami of France, Damir Doma of Germany and MSGM of Italy for Europe; Opening Ceremony of the U.S. for North and Central America and the Caribbean; Ksubi of Australia for Oceania, and Barbara Casasola of Brazil for South America. Available starting mid-May exclusively on Yoox.com, all 10 sweatshirts are Made in Italy and feature motifs representative of the labels’ home countries.

“I’ve been working with Yoox for many years, and what I enjoy the most is how they mix fashion, culture and current affairs.…We are seeing with each passing day that fashion is more interconnected to everything,” said Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, while Juun.J revealed that Korea’s tiger mascot had inspired his creation.
