WE'LL ALWAYS HAVE PARIS: Paris Hilton's beauty licensee is standing behind the wayward socialite, who, pending an appeal, is about to start serving a 45-day sentence in a Los Angeles county jail for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related driving case.

"Paris Hilton has a very strong business here and around the world," said Neil J. Katz, the chief executive officer of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Parlux, Hilton's fragrance licensee. Unlike other celebrity fragrance brands, Hilton had a strong Christmas last year, the third in a row, with a sell-through of sets of more than 85 percent. Industry sources have estimated the size of Hilton's fragrance business at more than $80 million wholesale, which is generated by three women's scents — Paris Hilton, Heiress by Paris Hilton and Just Me by Paris Hilton. A fourth Hilton women's scent is planned for fall, Katz said, adding: "She works hard representing the license and we don't think her fans will leave her. We are standing behind her in every way."

Hilton's apparel licensee, BBC Apparel Group Inc., which obtained the master license for Paris Inc. in January, didn't return repeated phone calls seeking comment. Macy's has reportedly picked up her debut line for only two of its stores this fall.

ROCK DUO: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been tapped as co-hosts of this year's 2007 CFDA Fashion Awards warm-up dinner. They will share the duties with Nadja Swarovski, and together, the trio plans to raise a toast to the nominees and honorees on June 3 — the night before the awards — at the Top of the Rock venue at Rockefeller Center. Last year, Salma Hayek did the honors. Swarovski is also the underwriter of the awards.
