ROCKET MAN: Will Elton John play his hits in the key of D, as in Dior? A lucky few will find out Sept. 17 when the legendary pop star performs at a dinner in Paris to mark the 60th anniversary of the French fashion house and its renovated and expanded boutique on Avenue Montaigne. About 250 are expected at the event, which is being hosted by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton kingpin Bernard Arnault and Dior chief Sidney Toledano.

IN AND OUT: Mark Badgley and James Mischka were among the first to arrive at Monday night's bash at One Sunset restaurant to fete their new ad campaign featuring Teri Hatcher, but the duo wanted to make the most of their time in L.A. as they had arrived only a few hours before and took the red eye back to New York. The "Desperate Housewives" actress was the first celebrity the designers ever dressed, for the Emmy Awards 10 years ago. "She even brought that dress to the photo shoot and it still fit," said Mischka. "It was really like coming full circle," he said of their decision to cast Hatcher, who celebrated in a booth with her castmates Felicity Huffman, James Denton, Dana Delaney and Andrea Bowen. As for whether they'd be dressing her again come this September's Emmys, they remained coy. "We just stay home and watch the show like everyone else, with our fingers crossed," said Badgley.
