IN RECOVERY: Olivier Labesse, a communications adviser and spokesman for LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and its chairman Bernard Arnault, is in a Paris hospital recovering from injuries after being struck by a car on Oct. 20. Labesse, a popular figure on the French fashion and corporate scene, works at the Paris firm DGM Conseil.
GRENIER GOES GREEN: Actor Adrian Grenier is a down-to-earth jeans and T-shirt guy on HBO's hit comedy "Entourage," but in real life he's gussying up his closet with environmentally friendly duds, including a gray suit by eco designer Linda Loudermilk. "It's freaking awesome," Grenier said at the party DDCLab hosted with Radar magazine on Thursday night in its Los Angeles shop to benefit the nonprofit organization Charity. "I hope to replace my entire wardrobe with eco-friendly clothes." Grenier was in the right place, as DDCLab auctioned off an array of sustainable style, including a men's cork blazer that retails for $2,800 and a women's purple scoop neck dress made of bamboo, silk and cotton with a ruched seam slithering down the back. Though ecology is currently catching on as a fashion trend, DDCLab designer Savania Davies Keiller said the New York-based company has been using soy and corn fibers for eight years. Still, DDCLab knew how to mix philanthropy with fun. To raise awareness on clean, safe drinking water, DDCLab got Grenier and other guests to race down a short track in the store while lugging two yellow jugs of water to the theme song from "Rocky."
