NONSTOP SHOP: Isla Fisher really got into character during the filming of "Confessions of a Shopaholic" at Henri Bendel. The star of "Wedding Crashers" and wife of Sacha Baron Cohen shopped in between takes, purchasing a mix of clothing and accessories. "We're one of her favorite stores," said a Bendel's spokeswoman. Bendel's has a key role in the film, which is about a young journalist in New York City with a shopping addiction. "[Isla's] character shops at Bendel's often, being that she's a shopaholic," she said. "Confessions," based on the novel by Sophie Kinsella, took over the store from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. for three nights early this month. The final scenes at the store were filmed in the wee hours of Sunday morning. "It's been quite a few years since we've had a shoot at Bendel's," the spokeswoman said. The last film was "Simply Irresistible," a 1999 romantic comedy starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.
HELPING OUT: Model and activist Lauren Bush, who has been photographed all over New York wearing her FEED bag, which benefits the U.N. World Food Program's School Feeding operations, has partnered with Whole Foods to sell the bags at every store in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. The grocery store chain has purchased 430,000 of the bags, which go on sale May 1. Each one sold will provide 100 school meals to hungry children in Rwanda. Bush, who hosted an Earth Day event on Sunday at Caravan, said there will be a launch party at the Bowery Whole Foods on April 30, where the first 100 bags will be sold.
ALL FOR PAUL: Barry Schwartz might be retired from Calvin Klein, but he keeps his fashion friends top of mind. His three-year-old colt, named P.R. Paul, won his maiden race at Aqueduct Saturday by an impressive seven-and-a-half lengths, garnering the fastest time of the day and netting Schwartz $28,800 for the race. "He was the favorite," said Schwartz, describing the horse, which he named after his friend and publicist, Paul Wilmot. And the coltish P.R. Paul is no slouch when it comes to pedigree. His father is Elusive Quality and his mother is Social Girl, whose father was Chief's Crown, Andrew Rosen's thoroughbred race horse who won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. "We have high hopes for P.R. Paul," said Schwartz. "Of my three horses that won Saturday, he's the most exciting."
