DESIGNER ROOKIES: For its second incarnation, Limited Edition New York has recruited Richard Branson, Shalom Harlow, Italian Vogue's Franca Sozzani, lensmen Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Sarah of Colette, Corso Como 10's Carla Sozzani and Barneys New York's Julie Gilhart to be among this year's fashion icons. That title requires that each make an exclusive T-shirt or tote bag of organic cotton. Their creations will be unveiled before the gallery-like exhibition's Sept. 8 to 10 run at Industria Studio in Manhattan. On another front, designers will also create a one-of-a-kind piece in tune with this year's theme of all white. Profits from the sales of such items will again be donated to Al Gore's Climate Project, which seeks to raise awareness about global warming, said LENY founder Mariel Gamboa.
