Fashion Scoops: Katie, The Ever-Ready Bunny... Pen Friends... Bear Essentials...

Despite a Sunday morning that began with a five-hour, 29-minute and 58-second run in the New York City Marathon, Katie Holmes truly tested the outer limits of endurance by attending a screening of "Lions for Lambs" at MoMA that evening.

FASHIONABLE HONOREES: On April 28, Parsons The New School for Design will fete its 60th Annual Parsons Benefit and Fashion Show, and to mark the occasion, the school has picked not one, but two honorees. Diane von Furstenberg and Barneys New York chairman and chief executive officer Howard Socol will receive the school's honors at the gala, which raises scholarship funds and also will feature a runway show from the graduating class. In the past, honorees included Oscar de la Renta and Susan Kronick, vice chairman of Federated Department Stores.

HEADING WEST: Thakoon Panichgul stopped by clothing boutique Tracey Ross in West Hollywood on Friday for his first California trunk show since starting his namesake label in 2004. Rebecca Gayheart, Gina Gershon and Tracee Ellis Ross were among those who showed up for the rare chance to catch Panichgul on their turf. Panichgul praised West Coast dressers' high-to-low choices for being on par with — if not superior to — their London counterparts. "West Coast style is really casual and nonchalant, but there is always a sense of knowing what fashion is," he said. Thankfully, Californians might not have to wait another few years before they get another glimpse of Panichgul. "It is always nice to come and enjoy the weather," he said before sprinting off to Jessica Alba's house for an intimate dinner.
