Ferragamo's Red Carpet Project...Golden Globe Parties Already Heating Up...

Salvatore Ferragamo is handing over the creative baton to customers with its new Red Carpet project.

HOTEL THEATER: Martin Margiela has won its biggest interior design commission yet, and will conceive the overhaul of a hotel in central Paris, WWD has learned. The Maison Champs-Elysées, with seven suites, 10 guest rooms and a restaurant, is slated to be completed in April and become a five-star establishment. It is located at 8 Rue Jean Goujon, a street tucked behind the luxury shopping strip Avenue Montaigne and not far from the Grand Palais.

The Maison Martin Margiela, which has already outfitted a suite at a Caudalie spa hotel in Bordeaux, France, said it plans to create a “theatrical environment where reality and trompe l’oeil are mixing together.”

According to Bernadette Chevalier, president of Exclusive Hotels, one of the owners, the aim is to create a “luxurious yet relaxed” place for a clientele “constantly looking for new lifestyle experiences.” The building, completed in 1866, has a classic Haussmannian facade, and has housed a hotel since 1989.
