Wordsmith Sophie Dahl, who sat stroking her diminutive singer boyfriend Jamie Cullum's hand throughout the show, said her novel "Playing with the Grown-ups" came out last week in the U.K., but that she's hanging up the boxing gloves on her acting career. "Oh gosh, I'm a terrible actress," she admitted.
Once the show got started, all tardiness was apparently forgiven. A smile broke across Arnault's face as he laser-focused on the steady parade of inventive bags produced by Jacobs' collaboration with artist Richard Prince.
STICKING OUT: Elsa Pataky wore a pretty frock to the Miu Miu show on Sunday, but will be back into baggy trousers for her role as a drug dealer in "Skate or Die," a movie being filmed in Paris. "She's a bad girl," Pataky said of her character. Her boyfriend Adrien Brody was toting a walking stick, at times holding it like a cane. "I'm not injured," he said. "I saw it coming out of the hotel and thought it would be a nice accoutrement." Brody said he's likely heading to Canada soon for a role as a genetic scientist in a film called "Spice" opposite Sarah Polley.
Standing guard next to the staircase was industry veteran Brian Blake, who is joining Prada SpA as chief operating officer and will be based in Milan. Blake was previously chief operating officer and worldwide president at Burberry Group, and at Gucci Group before that. "It's a good day to start, don't you think?" he asked.
