Lindsay Lohan and Silvia Fendi

FENDI'S "IT" BAG: Silvia Fendi was the busiest person at her own party Wednesday night celebrating the newly redesigned Fendi boutique on Rodeo Drive and the auction of 10 artist-embellished baguettes to benefit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Fendi and her friends were locked in a fierce bidding war for the Jeff Koons version. "We are all sticking close by because it's like a competition," she said. "But if either of us wins it, we will take turns wearing it." Alas, the Koons sold for nearly $20,000 to a private client, but Fendi did win the Tom Sachs creation. Despite the tussle for baguettes, the fete was not the usual store party madhouse. In fact, the huge white tent erected behind the store was, like the auction, mostly silent. "I don't like marketing parties, and that's not what this is," said Fendi. "It's a gathering of artists, friends and very good clients. I'm shy, so I prefer sitting down and talking to friends." Of course, champion shopper Lindsay Lohan made an appearance, as did starlets Mandy Moore, Kate Mara and Rose McGowan. But LACMA director Michal Govan and wife Katherine Ross reserved the VIP treatment for Fendi, treating her to a private midnight walking tour of the new Broad Contemporary Art Museum after dinner at Peter Morton and Linda Evangelista's house.

SPICE MILL: Much to the delight of the fashion crowd, the Spice Girls have hit the Tristate area and, in the past week alone, Glenda Bailey, Roberta Myers, Nina Garcia and Hamish Bowles bopped along to the group's tunes. On Wednesday, Michael Kors and CFDA executive director Steven Kolb took in the Spice spectacular at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J., where they had a chance to meet the group backstage. "Of course I am a Spice Girls fan," Kors said. "I love everything that teenage girls love. I am the oldest teenage girl."

Victoria "Posh" Beckham had her son Cruz in tow, who impressed Kors backstage with a perfect song and dance rendition of "High School Musical's" "Get Your Head in the Game." "Stand on your head, Cruzy," Beckham, dressed in a fierce stretch copper bodysuit, told her son, who quickly complied. "He's ready for it," Kors said of Cruz's star potential.
