MUSICAL CHAIRS: She's going from John to Jean. Jelka Music, longtime director of communications and public relations at John Galliano, is moving to become Jean Paul Gaultier's new director of communications, according to a Paris source. Music is expected to finish up with Galliano shortly after his show Saturday night and start soon at Gaultier, where she succeeds Lionel Vermeil, who is now at Balenciaga.

HOUSE ON VENDOME: Taking time off from her gig on TV's hit series "House," Jennifer Morrison lit up a small dinner Tuesday evening hosted by L.A. vintage guru Cameron Silver in Boucheron's salons overlooking the Place Vendôme. While Silver, who is an ambassador for the jeweler, said he hoped the spirit of the Countess de Castiglione, who once lived in the same building, would visit the intimate affair, Morrison told of her plans to relax in the City of Light by attending several shows this week. To wit: she attended Costume National Wednesday. But there was a more discreet presence at that show — Mick Jagger snuck into a secluded balcony seat at the last minute to watch in isolation.

SOLE LIFTING: According to David Lynch, transcendental meditation could help out when it comes to wearing Christian Louboutin's vertiginous heels. Why? "Absence of discomfort and pure happiness," said the director, who swung by New York's Pierre Passebon gallery Tuesday night to view his photographs featuring Louboutin's perpendicular fantasy shoes. In line with Lynch's methods, Charlotte Casiraghi said she also tends to space out when she goes on a shoe shopping spree. "I love shoes, but I don't know what I'm getting half the time," she joked.
