STELLA WEAVES HER WEB: In more Stella McCartney news — the company, that is — this week unveiled a new design for its Web and e-commerce site. The site, which now offers e-commerce in the U.K. as well as in the U.S., is designed to reflect the designer’s “clean and modern aesthetic,” the company said. Its homepage features a shot of Natalia Vodianova in the label’s fall campaign, with cartoon figures by British artist Barry Reigate adorning the Stella McCartney logo. The site will carry a greater selection of McCartney’s ready-to-wear, accessories and lingerie, and will allow customers to shop for pieces by selecting from different looks. It will also direct visitors to McCartney’s personal picks of her collection, and to what’s new at the online store. The “Stella’s World” section features McCartney’s tips on living a more eco-conscious lifestyle, the designer’s favorite charities and her label’s latest news. The site also links to her Stella McCartney Kids and Adidas by Stella McCartney collections, alongside her beauty line.
In addition to the Web site, a Stella McCartney iPad app is set for release. And for spring 2011, the site will offer e-commerce in eight further European countries.
