SANDY SALE: Fashion Girls for Humanity will host a designer sale to benefit communities which have been impacted by Hurricane Sandy on Nov. 27 and Nov. 28 at the Bowery Hotel in New York. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to Architecture for Humanity and Waves for Water. More than 100 designers will contribute over 100 rolling racks worth of clothing from their collections. The sale will include women’s wear, men’s wear, accessories and jewelry, and all items will be offered at 50 percent or more off the retail price. A donation-based admissions fee can be purchased on-line at fashiongirlsforhumanity.com or at the door.

Fashion Girls for Humanity, formerly Fashion Girls for Japan, was founded in the wake of the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami by Julie Gilhart, Kikka Hanazawa, Tomoko Ogura and Miki Higasa, fashion industry executives in New York.
