Fabindia's Art Focus

Indian retailer has made its first launch in a year-long initiative to create products for contemporary living based on the work of artists.

ART FOCUS: Indian retailer Fabindia, which has more than 170 stores across the country (and eight internationally) has made its first launch in a year-long initiative to create products for contemporary living based on the work of artists. The collection by artist Trishla Jain is the first in this effort and has been incorporated into a variety of products — from tops, tunics, stoles, scarves to bed, bath and table linen, furniture, giftware and lighting. Jain’s limited edition collection, called Kaleidoscope Eyes, is both vibrant and contemporary, playing with color, pattern and texture. “Anything is fair game…. The heart lies in bringing the elements together to tell a whole new story in a whole new way,” said Jain.
