DYNAMIC DUO: Expect a flash flood of VIPs tonight when Karl Lagerfeld unveils his second collaboration with Italy’s Hogan brand, part of Tod’s Group. Kanye West, Chloé Lambert, Daisy Lowe, Elisa Sednaoui and M.I.A are just a few of those expected to flock to the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild. The collection — spanning clothes and accessories — includes down jackets with snazzy asymmetric quilting and silver zips; sleeveless body warmers, and bomber jackets in leather and high-tech materials. Statement accessories include shopping bags, sneakers in Lagerfeld’s signature black and white, and high-heeled oxfords with rubber soles. Lagerfeld also pulled out his cameras and snapped portraits of 13 personalities, each sporting items chosen from the Hogan by Karl Lagerfeld collection. Sitters for the black-and-white snaps include Kiera Chaplin, Elodie Bouchez and a slew of models.

FAMOUS FRIENDS: A little seating glitch at the Zac Posen show Thursday helped Elle honchos Robbie Myers and Joe Zee better define the nature of their relationship. When there was no apparent seat for Zee, the magazine’s creative director, a public relations rep for Posen suspiciously studied both his and Myers’ invitations. Things weren’t looking too promising for Zee. Myers politely expressed a desire not only for Zee to be seated, but for the two well-known colleagues to sit together, as they always do. The p.r. searched for some kind of rationale: “Are you friends?” she asked.

Befuddled and amused, both Myers and Zee answered in the boldest affirmative: “Yes…we’re friends!” It didn’t work though. After a fretful scramble by Posen reps, Zee was plunked down with his competitors at the end of the row, about 10 seats away from his friend (and editor in chief).

KOOKY MONSTER: Seated front row at the Mugler show Wednesday night, designer and longtime Lady Gaga collaborator Jeremy Scott was fighting off major jet lag to witness the singer’s catwalk debut in the show. Scott saluted Gaga’s “appetite for anything new and exciting that challenges the status quo.” So would he be partying with her later? “Bag of bones is the only way to describe my state right now,” he groaned.

A gaggle of hardcore fans fought their way backstage afterward, where the singer was holed up in her dressing room. “I’m totally obsessed with her,” said Anna Dello Russo, the fashion director of Japanese Vogue and no slouch herself in the eccentric fashion stakes. “I cannot compare with her, please!” she said. Pucci creative director Peter Dundas said he had seen Gaga in concert three times and already had an idea of how he would dress her, if given the chance. “It would probably have a bit of sparkle to it — but not a lot of it,” he said. Mario Testino was fresh off shooting the singer for the cover of the March issue of U.S. Vogue. “She is amazing to work with — very professional and full of ideas and a very clear sense of who she is and where she wants to be,” he said. Emerging from her audience with the pop priestess, Dello Russo was buoyant. “I told her, ‘You are my hero,’ and she said to me, ‘You are my hero.’ I said, ‘Lady Gaga, don’t joke with me. But at least leave me some outfits from the show.’”
