Diane von Furstenberg Names EVP of Accessories

All accessories departments, including design, merchandising, planning and sales, will report to Michelle Ryan, effective Sept. 23.

DVF’S ACCESSORIES GURU: Diane von Furstenberg has tapped Michelle Ryan to the newly created post of executive vice president of accessories, effective Sept. 23. All accessories departments, including design, merchandising, planning and sales, will report to Ryan, who will, herself, report to DVF president Paula Sutter.

The accessories veteran joins team DVF from Jimmy Choo Ltd., where she worked most recently as senior vice president of merchandising and licensing. Credited with establishing and growing the collection, Choo 24:7, Ryan has also worked as Burberry’s head of U.K. sales and travel retail worldwide. Prior to that, Ryan worked at Yves Saint Laurent, Lela Rose and Richard Tyler.
