WINE LIST: Is Bernard Arnault thirsty for more Champagne? LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton declined all comment Monday on speculation it is bidding for Piper-Heidsieck and Charles Heidsieck, two brands of bubbly owned by drinks giant Rémy Cointreau. On Monday, Rémy Cointreau stock closed on the Paris Bourse down 0.6 percent to 49.94 euros, or $68.22 at current exchange, after spiking early in the day. It is understood that LVMH, famous for such elite Champagne labels as Dom Pérignon, Krug and Ruinart, is not interested in adding more brands but gaining access to the vineyard contracts that come with them.
