DOING GOOD: The seven-year partnership between Gucci and UNICEF continues to kindle Frida Giannini’s creative spark.
Her latest effort, due out on June 15, is an updated version of the bestselling “Gucci for UNICEF” Sukey bag, launched last year, which this time features the house’s historic Diamante motif in deep chocolate brown. As in the past, 25 percent of the $1,430 retail price for each bag will go to support UNICEF’s “Schools for Africa” initiative, aimed at providing children with access to quality education.
The newest top handle bag has soft ruches and a detachable leather charm with the interlocking GG logo. The “Gucci for UNICEF” Sukey will be available in Gucci stores in more than 20 countries and on Gucci.com, until Feb. 28.
