SUITE STAY: The annual Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize contest for up-and-coming designers is traveling to Paris for its third edition. The French capital’s Hôtel Plaza Athénée, where 2011 winning label Anndra Neen showed its jewelry and accessory collection during Paris Fashion Week, will host the competition this year. The contest is open to designers in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Switzerland who have operated their brand for at least two years. Applicants have until May 31 to submit their entries.

The winner, selected by an as-yet unnamed panel of industry judges, will receive 30,000 euros, or around $40,000 at current exchange, and the chance to stay at a Dorchester Collection property in Paris or Milan during Fashion Week in spring 2013. The prize, which launched at The Dorchester in London in 2010, is hosted by different properties each year. Last year’s winner was announced at The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. Past jury members include Manolo Blahnik, Daphne Guinness, Francisco Costa, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig.
