Elie and Rory Tahari are playing host to Simon Doonan, executive vice president of creative services at Barneys New York.

Elie and Rory Tahari are playing host to Simon Doonan, executive vice president of creative services at Barneys New York, for his first Hamptons event this week. The designer not only volunteered his East Hampton flagship on July 19 for Doonan’s “Eccentric Glamour” book signing, but also offered up window space to display quotes from the book like: “Fashion is about figuring out who you are and dressing the part” and “Conforming is the only crime, dressing down is the only faux pas.” A percentage of sales from the event will support the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
