DONNA’S DREAM TICKET: Donna Karan would like to be part of the Obama transition team — apparel division. During a visit to Los Angeles this week to open her latest Urban Zen wellness and retail outpost, the designer said she would jump at the chance to dress the future first lady, Michelle Obama. “I think [Obama] would be divine — she has so much of her own style, I would love to dress her,” Karan said. “It’s not about her clothes, it’s really about who she is, and her passion for children, culture and wellness. I’m hoping to get to work with them — it would be my dream. They are so committed to ideals that are much in alignment with mine.”

LONDON GAMES: “I love Monopoly by the fire on Christmas Day,” said Sienna Miller, reminiscing about her favorite board games as she settled in to play “Hollywood Dominoes” at London’s chic Mosimann’s restaurant last week. Miller was joined by guests including Olivier Martinez, Josh Hartnett and Tom Hollander at the Hollywood-themed game, vying for the prize of a Steinmetz white gold and diamond charm bracelet. The funds raised on the night went toward Charlize Theron’s Africa Outreach charity. (The game also will be launched in stores as a regular board game — celebrity players not included.) Hartnett, currently treading the boards in a production of “Rain Man,” at London’s Apollo theater, sadly arrived too late to throw his hat in the gaming ring. But he joined in the Champagne-fueled revelry, saying he was “looking forward to returning home to New York,” after his four month stint on the London stage.

EN FRANCAISE: The Frick’s 2009 Young Fellows Ball is good to go with Monique Lhuillier as the fashion sponsor and Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry as the jewelry one. Chairs Byrdie Bell, Lydia Fenet, Joann Pailey, and Elisabeth Saint-Amand may want to visit Paris or brush up on their French literature before the Feb. 26 gala. The theme is Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Another option is to check out the recently reopened Fragonard Room, which features the artist’s masterpiece in a lovely drawing room.

SPANISH INVASION: A flock of Spanish designers flooded into the Victoria and Albert Museum Monday night for a gala hosted by The Fashion Designers Council of Spain to showcase the country’s design talent. Michelin-starred Spanish chef Sergi Arola treated guests, including Stephen Jones, Harold Tillman and Melissa Odabash to tapas-style canapés while others admired the designers’ creations displayed on mannequins in the museum’s cavernous atriums. “The yellow one is fun,” said Jones, pointing to a sculptured canary yellow minidress by Modesto Lomba, who also heads Spain’s Fashion Council. Jones will be in the museum’s spotlight early next year when “Hats: An Anthology” opens there in February.
