TARGET’S ACCELERATOR PICKS DIVVY: Divvy, a digital group shopping concept created by Team Pilot, is the winner of the digital developer contest that was sponsored by Co.Labs & Target Retail Accelerator. The partnership between Fast Company and Target Corp. challenged developers to build a new mobile experience for Target.
As the winner, Divvy received the grand prize of $75,000, and its concept is being brought to life for Target guests. The social app concept by a group of New York-based digital developers is based on the improvement of group shopping by allowing multiple users to update a shopping list in real time while making it easier to “divvy” up the final bill and distribute receipts, according to Target and Co. Labs. The Retail Accelerator program selected seven finalists, each of whom received $10,000 to further build their concepts for the final round of competition before a panel of Target executives.
