Christian Dior Remodeling Three Stores

The brand has a trifecta of store remodels set for unveilings this month.

DIOR’S DOINGS: Christian Dior has a trifecta of store remodels set for unveilings this month. The house’s boutique in Apsen, Colo., reopened on June 5 with an interior inspired by Dior’s global flagship in Paris, aligning it with the design concept Peter Marino unveiled at 30 Avenue Montaigne in 2007. The new spaces all feature contemporary materials and finishes. The Aspen store has an existing wood floor, wool and linen carpets, glass mirrored walls and shelving units finished with fine silver wire mesh. A mirror in the shoe department carries the message, “Out of this Worldish.” It’s an art work by Rob Wynne, whose pieces are featured in many Dior stores.

The next location to get the once-over treatment, the Americana Manhasset in Manhasset, N.Y., reopened on Saturday. Finally, the Yorkdale Toronto unit is being retooled for an opening on Friday. Dior’s next new store in North America will open in New York’s SoHo later this year. The house is also opening boutiques in Vancouver, Houston and San Francisco.
