DUFFLE SHUFFLE: With the kick-off of the Hamptons season upon us, Details magazine and the Council for American Fashion Designers teamed up to elevate a utilitarian product with style: the designer weekender duffle bag. Twenty designers were enlisted to reinterpret the standard Army/Navy duffle bag. Those putting their mark on the weekend luggage include Richard Chai, Billy Reid, Marc Jacobs, Rag & Bone, Tommy Hilfiger, Trovata and Alejandro Angelo. Gilded Age painted a war-era pinup on an army surplus duffle with the words “Sack Happy,” while Rag & Bone’s contribution is a simple olive and black number with black leather handles. The collection will be auctioned on eBay beginning on June 10 with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting the CFDA Foundation.
