The destiny of the footwear industry is in safe hands with Tatiana Sorokko. At a Roger Vivier and Glenda Bailey-hosted dinner Monday at Caviar Kaspia feting her exhibition and accompanying tome, “Extending the Runway: Tatiana Sorokko Style,” currently showing at the Phoenix Art Museum in Arizona, the former model regaled guests with her tips for overcoming the crisis blues. “In this economy, I always say when men are depressed they take a pill. When women are depressed, they buy some shoes — that’s my Viagra,” she said. Marisa Berenson, Andrew Gn, Pamela Golbin and Alexis Mabille were among personalities attending the event. Furniture and jewelry designer Hervé Van der Straeten revealed he’s in talks with French porcelain factory, Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres. “It will likely involve some big pieces like candleholders and vases,” he said.
