DESIGNER DUDS: MyHabit, Amazon’s members-only flash-sale site, is stepping up its luxury appeal by launching a designer tab on Monday at noon, alongside the other tabs for the women’s, men’s, children’s and home categories. Thakoon, Valentino, Bibhu Mohapatra, Costume National, Balmain and Alejandro Ingelmo will be the first designer sales launched, at up to 60 percent off consistent with the other MyHabit sales. The Web site, since its debut last spring, has been offering some designer labels but has been more weighted to contemporary brands. With the new designer offering, the company said it is cultivating a premiere selection “all in one dedicated place, allowing for a faster, more tailored shopping experience for customers seeking designer labels.” At the outset, designer events will run Mondays and Wednesdays and last five days or until items are sold out.
