A MAGICAL EVENING: Illusionist David Copperfield will open up his four-floor penthouse apartment on the East Side on Wednesday for an intimate soiree celebrating his feature profile in the new issue of Fantastic Man. The magazine’s editors, Jop Van Bennekom and Gert Jonkers will co-host the evening with Copperfield, who is currently performing 15 shows a week at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Expected guests—including Roberto Cavalli, Naomi Campbell, Michael Stipe, Nacho Figueras, Tony Shafrazi, Thom Browne, Norman Jean Roy and Tobias Meyer—will get a look at Copperfield’s expansive collection of magic memorabilia which is housed on the first two floors of the palatial abode.
