DAGGETT JOINS RUE LA LA: Darlene Daggett joins Rue La La as a president overseeing merchandising, programming and member experience. She reports to Ben Fischman, founder and chief executive officer of the flash-sale site, and be headquartered in the Boston and New York offices.
Daggett was an advisor to the company for the past 12 months, and before that spent 18 years at QVC Inc. Her most recent position at QVC was president of QVC U.S. Commerce, where she was oversaw merchandising, planning, broadcasting and new business development.
Daggett will share the title of president with Steven C. Davis. The two oversee different areas of Rue’s business, with Davis heading up operations, planning, technology and marketing.
In her new role at Rue, Daggett will be growing the company’s specialty retail departments, such as fashion, as well as be responsible for sourcing strategies. She will also use her background in broadcast to connect the creative and merchandising teams with new programming for Rue’s membership.
