DANNIJO POPS UP: Dannijo is trying its hand at brick-and-mortar — opening a pop-up store in New York City’s NoLIta neighborhood on Thursday. Located at 27 Prince Street, the 600-square-foot space will be open through Dec. 30, carrying the brand’s statement accessories and iPhone cases, including a collection that’s exclusive to the store. “We thought that holiday was a great time to do a pop-up. This our busiest time for jewelry,” said Dannijo cofounder Jodie Snyder. “If this is a success, we would love a permanent brick-and-mortar space in New York City.”
The shop’s biggest draw by far is a chandelier dedicated to the brand’s signature bib necklaces. The duo is even bringing some of the bestselling colorways back, and new versions with more crystal, pearls and elaborate beads. Snyder and cofounder and sister Danielle Snyder plan to host weekly events for each of the six weeks the boutique is open. A selection of antique jewelry, bags and a few Parisian labels the duo like will also stand alongside their jewelry.
